SMALL TALK | Game-Inspired Interfaces

Small Talk is an AI-assisted speculative game concept that reimagines public space as a site for empathic, dialogue-based interaction. Using game UI logic and narrative branching structures, the project overlays real-world characters—like an old woman feeding birds or a skater in a park—with interaction prompts inspired by RPGs.

 

All visuals, characters, and environments were co-created with generative AI tools, exploring how artificial intelligence can support world-building, emotional scripting, and alternative futures for public connection.

Blending speculative design, narrative UX, and AI-generated aesthetics, the project invites players to question how they perceive strangers in urban space—and how design might re-script those encounters.
