Ephemera Genesis is an immersive theatrical experiment that explores the relationship between body, space, and transformation. As a performer, I was part of a live ensemble that moved through shifting light, sound, projections, and raw materials—creating a living scenography that continuously collapsed and re-formed.
The piece dissolved the boundary between performance and design: we were not only movers but also builders, architects, and elements within the space itself. Each gesture contributed to the emergence of a temporary world—fragile, alive, and ever-changing.
Directed by Daniel Ruiz Bustos, Deen Rawlins, and Venese Medovich Alcantar, Ephemera Genesis explored the tension between permanence and impermanence through embodied expression and responsive environments. The work invited the audience into an environment where no two moments were the same—each action both a beginning and an end.
Role: Performer / Movement Ensemble
Location: B. Iden Payne Theatre, UT Austin
